The problem

The existing process for managing deceased estate shares was outdated, confusing, and took on average 51 days for users to complete.

The solution

Interviewed 11 participants across key user groups to hear about their experiences with the transfer process, identify pain points, and find/validate what areas have room for improvement.

The results

  • Validated our assumption that most users would be open to fully digital processes

  • Uncovered a major paint point we had missed which further justified our choice to introduce facial recognition for IDV

  • 4 additional desirable features flagged for potential future releases
